INTERACTIVE DANCE PERFORMANCE
“Disintegration” is a live performance combining improvisational dance with interactive video. It is comprised of three dance movements expressing recent American history. The events of 9/11, the war in Iraq, a struggling economy and the election of Barack Obama are addressed. Patricia Maldonado and Ivonne Vielman perform improvisational dance to a background of abstract live video based on their movements, created by visual artist Christian Michaels.
